Hello, I’m Karen Whitson.
For years, I served as a healthcare technical writer until my heart took me to a new career path in the nonprofit sector and I became the Director of Renewed Hope, a food pantry serving thousands of people each week. Starting at Renewed Hope as a volunteer and eventually becoming the director just before the COVID-19 pandemic, I have found myself placed on the front lines of feeding the hungry and sharing the goodness of Psalm 34.
“Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him” (Psalm 34:8 NIV).
During recent years, my eyes have been opened to biblical prophecy fulfilling before us. I’m re-introducing my blog with this new focus under the banner Get in the Ark.
When Jesus’ disciples asked him “…what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3 NKJV), Jesus, referring to Himself as the Son of Man, explained: “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be” (Matthew 24:37 NKJV).
Just as Noah built an ark for troublesome times, God has revealed our ultimate safe place: the Ark of His Covenant. It is a place of absolute safety, final salvation, and intimate union with Jesus Christ.
I’m here to invite you into the Ark. The hour is late, but the door is still open. Let’s be ready for Jesus’ return.
[Note about the past: I created this blog on April 14, 2015 with a focus on praise and health. While, I’m re-introducing this blog with a new Bible prophecy focus under the title Get in the Ark, the plant-based recipes and notes about praising God are all still here under Vegan Recipes.]
