Praise for Today – Strength for Our Bones
I have always loved Proverbs 3:5-6.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
These two Bible verses provide encouragement when we’re facing life decisions. It’s comforting to know that God will direct our paths. We can trust Him and rest in His peace. But there is more to this passage in the Bible if we read the next two verses.
“Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.” Proverbs 3:7,8 (NIV)
This reminds us that trusting and following God is better than trusting our own ideas. It gives us strength for our bones. Following God’s ways brings many blessings, including good health.

Gravy

Steps
- Place half cup Boca meatless ground crumbles in medium size sauce pan over low to medium heat to start thawing
- Blend cashews in a dry blender until ground into a fine powder
- Add water and blend
- Add all other ingredients and blend until very smooth, this could take a of couple minutes or more depending on the power of your blender
- Add gravy mixture to the Boca meatless ground crumbles in the sauce pan and bring mixture to a boil, stirring continuously until thick. This only takes a few minutes. Remove from heat once the gravy has thickened.
Notes
- To make ground flax meal, I buy flax seed whole and grind it in a small coffee grinder I purchased at Wal-Mart. Another option is to buy the flax seed already ground and keep it in the freezer. I like the brand my mom found for me at Costco: Flax USA, organic golden flax.
- Tamari is a gluten-free soy sauce that I usually find in any grocery store where soy sauce is sold.
